Tesla’s new Spring Update has introduced a wide range of improvements across all its vehicle models. The Tesla Spring Update features new tools and enhancements in lighting, navigation, security, media, and driving comfort.
A key highlight is the rollout of Adaptive Headlights in the U.S. and Canada. Originally available only in Europe, this intelligent lighting system uses matrix LEDs to adjust the high beams. It dims specific pixels to avoid glaring at oncoming drivers while ensuring strong visibility for the Tesla driver. Owners with the required hardware can find the feature under the “Lights” section in the vehicle’s control menu.
Drivers of the refreshed Tesla Model S and Model X (built from 2021 to 2025) will now see Blind Spot Camera feeds directly on the main driver display. This change offers better visibility when signaling to change lanes, improving safety and reducing distraction.

Tesla has also enhanced its Dashcam and Sentry Mode systems. Vehicles with side pillar cameras now record from six angles instead of four, offering more comprehensive security coverage. The Dashcam Viewer interface now uses a grid layout with swipe controls, making it easier to review footage.

The updated Trip Planner gives drivers more control over their routes. They can now choose between the “Fastest” route, stops with the “Best Amenities,” or options with “Fewer Stops” to minimize charging breaks. These options tailor navigation to meet various travel needs.
Cybertruck owners gain two new Autopilot-related upgrades. When Autopilot activates, the system now engages Comfort Drive Mode to ensure a smoother ride. Meanwhile, Lane Departure Avoidance Assist not only warns the driver but also gently steers the truck back into its lane if it drifts unintentionally.
Tesla also added several smaller but useful improvements. The navigation system now includes a “Avoid Highways” toggle for route flexibility. A new “Keep Accessory Power On” setting allows drivers to keep USB ports and chargers active after exiting the car—if the battery is above 20%.
The on-screen keyboard now supports quick language switching. Tesla also enhanced the media experience. Updates include filtered search, Apple Music shuffle support, Amazon Music Free sign-in, SiriusXM navigation improvements, a new “Up Next” view in YouTube Music, and automatic hotspot connection while driving.
With these updates, Tesla continues to enhance the ownership experience. The Spring Update reinforces Tesla’s strategy of using software to add value, long after delivery.
